MAILTOOL Updates add Wildcards and Updated Distribution
Lists!
MAILTOOLwas
recently updated to allow the use of wildcards when
specifying attachments. Also, the distrubution list
feature of MAILTOOL plus was also updated to allow extra
functionality.
The new wildcard feature allows you to specify wildcards
with patterns like *wildcard, wildcard*, and wild*card.
For example you could specify /myfiles/invoices*.pdf
or /myfiles/*.pdf or /myfiles/invoices* as the attachment.
Even /myfiles/* is allowed, which would attach all files
in a directory.
The MAILTOOL Plus distribution list feature was updated
to allow you to specify the type of recipient each address
in a distrubution list should be.
For example, you can have some recipients designated
as TO recipients, which means they will appear on the
TO line of the email. Others can be set up as CC or
BCC recipients.
You can also specify that the recipient is set up as
a default (*DFT) receipient, which means that the type
of address it will be is deteremined by the address
parameter it is specified on (TO, CC or BCC).
This new version of MAILTOOL requires a minimum OS
of V5R2.

Q: My temporary key expired. Can I get another one?
A: Yes! You can easily and quickly request another
temporary key using the Quick Key feature located in
the right hand column of any page on our site.
The temporary key will be automatically emailed to
the email address specified in the Quick Key form.
Temporary keys are useful in many situations including
High Availability/Disaster Recovery testing, testing
new software on your machine and enabling software on
new hardware prior to receiving new permanent keys.
You can request a temporary key for any software at
any time and for any reason. Most keys are good for
30 days from the day you request them (eRPG SDK keys
are good for 45 days).
While the temporary keys are limited to a specific
number of days, you're encouraged to take as long as
you need, especially when you are evaluating new software.
This means you can request another temp key quickly
and easily at any time using the Quick Key feature.
